Volume I of this memoir told the story of my mother and grandmother during the Depression and World War II. This volume is my story, beginning when I left for college and ending with the death of my partner of more than a decade. This journey took me from my Victorian upbringing and the expectation that my primary roles would be wife and mother to becoming a woman juggling family as well as a rewarding career as the CEO of a human service agency. I also had to navigate difficult personal challenges while discovering how richly satisfying a partnership of equals could be.
