Description
Offers humorous descriptions of words unique to the vocabulary of the inhabitants of the state of Maine. In a traditional language tape format a word is given, its use as a noun, verb, adjective, or adverb is given, and it is used in a short skit. Students will also learn the correct pronunciation of words like aidge-on, ayuh, cappy, chadge, goo-ud, numb-as-a-hake, tunk, and whine.
